What a beta user said
★★★★★
“W1 has been genuinely useful for working on real projects rather than just generating snippets. I particularly like the project-level approach, where it can understand the existing codebase, work through tasks, and show the steps and changes it makes. The workflow feels much more practical than simply asking an AI for code and manually figuring out where everything belongs. Being able to have it work through a task, run checks, and report what happened makes it especially useful for larger projects. It is still beta software, so there is room for improvement, but the overall direction is very promising. For developers who want an AI agent that helps them actually move a project forward, rather than just provide suggestions, W1 is worth trying.”

W1 for VS Code
Use the same W1 engine inside Visual Studio Code. Sign in, open a workspace, and give W1 the outcome you want. Your editor, extensions, and terminal stay exactly where they are - W1 works alongside them in a side panel.
01 · Sign inW1 opens a secure browser sign-in. Your model credentials are hosted by W1; no provider API key is stored on your computer.
02 · Open a projectSelect a local folder. W1 can inspect and change that project only through the access mode and permissions shown in the app.
03 · Describe the outcomeW1 plans the work when needed, performs the actions, runs checks, and keeps progress visible in the same thread.
Beta software can make mistakes. Review important changes, keep source control or backups, and do not give W1 access to secrets that are not required for the task.
